I didn't expect a thin literary journal to hook me this hard, but Oscar Melder's piece alone justified the whole Issue 1. The paper feels nicer than most magazines I've bought, too.
The mix of poetry and short fiction in this first issue is surprisingly cohesive, and I loved that each contributor gets real space to breathe. Hanna Arain's piece alone was worth the cover price. Already curious what Volume 2 looks like.
Didn't expect to finish this in one sitting, but the mix of poetry and short fiction from seven different writers kept pulling me back. Penelope Day's piece alone was worth the pickup.
