I sized up to an M and the waist sits right at my natural midline, not too low. The hidden polka dots only really show in bright light, which I actually like. Wore them all day and the khaki didn't wrinkle much.
The pleated cuffs with the little button detail make these look way dressier than plain capris. The polka dots are subtle enough that I didn't notice them until I put them on, which I actually like. Waistband sits right at my natural waist and hasn't stretched out after three washes.
I was worried the mid-rise cut would dig in, but the waistband sits comfortably right at my hips. The hidden polka dots on the khaki are such a nice surprise, and the side pocket buttons keep everything looking neat.
