The 13oz selvedge denim is stiff at first but you can tell it's going to fade beautifully after a few months of wear. I'm 5'8" and the wide leg with the front pleats hangs just right without looking like I borrowed someone's grandpa jeans.
Wore these straight out of the box and the pleats hold their shape all day. The copper rivets and Japanese selvedge feel properly made, and the wide leg drapes nicely without looking sloppy.
The 13oz indigo denim felt stiff for the first day but has already started softening into shape. Those original copper rivets and the selvedge edge are the kind of details I actually notice, and the wide leg doesn't swallow my shoes. Wore them four days straight, which says enough.
